Pravin Krishna is Chung Ju Yung Professor of International Economics and Business at Johns Hopkins University (School of Advanced International Studies and Department of Economics) and Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER).
He holds a Bachelors degree in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (1990), M.A. and M.Phil degrees from Columbia University (1993) and a Ph.D. in economics from Columbia University (1995). He has previously held academic appointments at Brown University, the University of Chicago, Princeton University and Stanford University.
His research interests are the fields of international economics, political economy and development. He has served as a consultant to the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and the Inter-American Development Bank
