Aparajita Goyal is an economist at the World Bank in Washington D.C. Her research focuses on micro-economic issues of development, with a particular emphasis on technological innovation in agriculture, access to information, and intellectual property rights. Her research has been published in academic journals such as the American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, Journal of Human Resources, Journal of Development Economics, and has also been featured in popular press such as Frontline, The Economist, Times of India, amongst others. She has previously worked with ActionAid in London and the Right to Food Campaign in India. She obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2008, an M.Sc. in Development Studies from the London School of Economics in 2001 and a B.A. in economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University in 2000.
