Kira Villa is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of New Mexico. She received her PhD in Applied Economics at Cornell University in 2014. Her research interests lie at the intersection of human capital and development. She is particularly interested in how characteristics and events during childhood and adolescence influence socioeconomic wellbeing into adulthood and across generations.
