Sangeeta Bansal received her Ph.D. from the Indian Statistical Institute in 2003. She has been an associate professor at the Centre for International Trade and Development, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, since 2004, and is currently Fulbright Visiting Scholar to the Agricultural and Resource Economics Department at the University of California, Berkeley. She is an associate editor of Resource and Energy Economics, and member editorial board of Environment and Development Economics. Her research interests include environmental economics, regulation, industrial organisation and agricultural economics. She has published her research in Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, Resource and Energy Economics, Environmental and Resource Economics, Environment and Development Economics etc. She has provided consultancy to International Food Policy Research Institute on many projects. Presently she is working on the research project of eliciting farmers’ willingness to pay for abiotic stress tolerant rice seeds in India.
