Sreerupa is a Research Fellow and Program Lead at the Institute of Social Studies Trust (ISST), where she heads the theme of Informality, Precarious Work, and Care. Her recent work has focused on the intersections of labour precarity and care dynamics in diverse contexts, including digitalisation of work and the circular economy. With over 15 years of experience, her research spans the care economy, informal labour, ageing, healthcare, and migration.
She holds a PhD in Economics from Centre for Development Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University and has completed postdoctoral fellowships at the Centre for Women's Development Studies and King's College London.
