Matt Lowe is a doctoral candidate in the economics department at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His work is at the intersection of development economics, political economy, and behavioural economics. Most recently, his research has explored the effects of intergroup contact in two contrasting settings: caste in India and politics in Iceland. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Cambridge and an M.Sc. from the University of Oxford.
