Monika Yadav is a Ph.D. student in the department of sociology at the University of Notre Dame. She has previously worked at NIAS (National Institute of Advanced Studies) Bangalore and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi studying informal economy, labour and labour organisation, and social welfare schemes in India. Monika received her M.A. in sociology from Delhi School of Economics (DSE) and holds an undergraduate degree in engineering from National Institute of Technology (NIT) Kurukshetra. Her primary fields of inquiry are economic and political sociology with a special focus on labour movements.
