Adam Ziegfeld is an associate professor in the Department of Political Science at Temple University. His research focuses on political parties and elections in India. His book, Why Regional Parties: Clientelism, Elites, and the Indian Party System, was published by Cambridge University Press in 2016. His other research, on topics such as voter turnout, electoral rules, and dominant parties, has appeared in journals such as the American Political Science Review, Journal of Politics, and Comparative Politics, among others. He is currently working on a book project examining election alliances in India.
