Ashutosh Thakur is an Assistant Professor at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore. He holds a PhD in Political Economics from Stanford Graduate School of Business and A.B. in Economics from Princeton University. Prior to joining NUS, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Cologne's Cluster of Excellence ECONTribute: Markets and Public Policy. He is also a Faculty Associate of the Center on Asia and Globalization.
His research uses tools from market design, matching theory, and game theory to study institutional design in development and political economy.
