Assaf Razin is the former Barbara and Steven Friedman Professor of International Economics, Cornell University, and Bernard Schwartz Professor at Tel Aviv University. He is a Research Associate of NBER and Research Fellow of the CEPR. He is also a Fellow of the Econometrics Society. His recent books are Israel and the World Economy: Power of Globalization, Understanding Global Crises: An Emerging Paradigm, Foreign Direct Investment: Analysis of Aggregate Flows, with Efraim Sadka, and The Decline of the Welfare State: Aging, and Globalization, with Efraim Sadka. In 2017 he received the EMET prize in economics.
