Jitender Singh is Director, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Government of India. Prior to this, he has worked in various positions at the Department of Industrial Promotion and Policy, Ministry of Commerce; Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance; Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation; and Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region. He received his Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University.
