Prashant Poddar is an Assistant Professor in the Economics area at the Indian Institute of Management, Amritsar. Prior to joining the institute, he pursued his PhD with a specialisation in Economics at the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow.

His research interests are in the field of development economics, with a focus on issues related to gender, education, health, and religion. He is also a Fellow of the Global Labor Organization (GLO) and a member of the LSE SEAC Early Career Researcher Network.
