Sahana Roy Chowdhury is an Associate Professor of Economics at International Management Institute, Kolkata. She has done her Masters and Ph.D. in Quantitative Economics from Indian Statistical Institute. Her research interest lies in Development economics, Labour economics, Public policy and Fiscal policy issues. She is the Editor-in- chief of the Sage based journal STUDIES IN MICROECONOMICS (Scopus, UGC-CARE, ABDC listed). She has been a consultant at NIPFP (Macro-Finance Division) - Delhi, ICRIER - Delhi, ICRA Ltd (Monetary Research Project Division) and was a visiting scientist at Cornell University, USA. She has delivered invited lectures at the University Paris-Est Marne-la- Vallée, Paris on Indian Macro-developmental and fiscal issues and labour market issues. She has worked with the Expenditure Management Commission formed by the Ministry of Finance-Department of Economic Affairs in 2014 and provided key research inputs to the commission. She has served as an expert panellist in the research meeting on Employability organised by the Centre for Policy Research in Higher Education, New Delhi (Department of Educational Finance - under MHRD, GOI). Dr. Roy Chowdhury has several publications in national and international journals of repute.
