Sakshi Khurana has been at the Skill Development, Labour & Employment Vertical in NITI Aayog since 2016. She has a PhD from the Department of Sociology, Delhi School of Economics, on the theme of women & informal labour. She has been engaged in research and policy related work on issues of labour, employment, gender and skill development for the past 14 years.

She has previously worked at the Centre for Gender & Labour at V.V. Giri National Labour Institute (2014-16) and has been a PhD Fellow at the Institute of Economic Growth, Delhi University (2011-14). She has research papers and other publications (international & national) on the themes of women’s employment, gender and labour issues, skill development for women & girls, youth employment, skill development and promoting livelihood opportunities in rural areas.
