Vimal Balasubramaniam is an Assistant Professor of finance at Queen Mary University of London. His main areas of research interest are household finance, behavioural finance, asset pricing and political economy. He has a B.A. in Economics from the University of Madras, a Master's in public policy from the National University of Singapore (NUS), and a Ph.D. in financial economics from the University of Oxford.
