Michael Vlassopoulos is Professor of Economics at the University of Southampton and a Research Fellow of the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA) in Germany. His main research areas are labour and development economics. His recent work focusses on the integration of refugees, discrimination of minority groups, mental health, and education. He obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of British Columbia.
