Emily Myers is the Associate Director of Training and Policy at Evidence for Policy Design (EPoD), where she leads EPoD’s training portfolio and develops new policy partnerships. Her work focusses on strategies for building government capacity to use evidence to strengthen policy design and service delivery. In 2013, she helped to design and launch the Harvard Building Capacity to Use Research Evidence (BCURE) programme. She has a background in international development and health, and recently managed a health systems policy research and reform initiative in Malaysia with the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Prior to joining Harvard, she served as an advisor in the Office of Planning and Monitoring at the Mexican Social Security Institute, where she worked on analysis and evaluation of healthcare delivery reforms. She has also worked in Guatemala for WINGS, a reproductive health organisation, and in New York for the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria. She holds a Master’s in Public Administration in International Development (MPA/ID) from the Harvard Kennedy School and a B.A. in international politics and economics from New York University.
