David Romney is an assistant professor of political science at Brigham Young University. At BYU, he is associated with the programs in Middle East Studies/Arabic, International Relations, and International Development, and he also serves as a faculty advisor in the political science department’s Global Politics Lab. He earned his PhD at Harvard in 2020 and his BA at BYU in 2013. His research focuses on ethnic and religious politics and political conspiracy theories and is centered primarily in the Middle East/North Africa (MENA) and Southeast Asia regions.
