Duong Trung Le is currently a Postdoctoral Associate at Duke University. He received a Ph.D. in economics and an MBA in Management Information Systems from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Binghamton. His fields of research include development economics, environmental economics, and applied microeconomics. His research focuses on two areas: First, he studies the economics of enterprises in developing countries, evaluating how various institutional and public interventions affect their performance and behaviours; second, he examines the impacts of different environmental shocks on the sustainability of socioeconomic development. His research leverages Geographic Information System (GIS) and relates geospatial and remote-sensing information to firm- and household-level data.
