Pradip Kumar Bagchi is a Senior Advisor at the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER), leading editorial and media outreach work.

He has worked for nearly 34 years in some of India’s top media organizations including as a Senior Editor, The Times of India; as a Deputy Editor, India Today, as a Deputy Editor, News X; as a Senior News Editor, CNN-IBN; as a Chief Sub Editor/Senior Correspondent, United News of India; as a English Newscaster, All India Radio.

He has also been a visiting faculty on print and broadcast journalism to some of the top media institutes such as Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), New Delhi; YMCA Institute for Media Studies and Information Technology, New Delhi; TV Today Media Institute, New Delhi-Noida; Apeejay Institute of Mass Communications, New Delhi; Xavier University, Bhubaneswar; Amity School of Communication (Noida); and several others. He has a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Delhi.
