Manaswini is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics, University of California, Berkeley. Her research is at the intersection of development and institutional economics. One track of her research agenda examines the role of judicial institutions, such as courts, in shaping the behaviour of economic agents such as firms and individuals. In another track, she studies the role of collective action and decentralisation in the provision of public goods in resolving common pool resource problems.
