Poornima has over 12 years of experience in the environment and development sector with qualitative research exposure in the areas of climate change, cumulative environmental effects, environment institutions and policies, sustainable agriculture, and livelihoods. Her research has been published in international peer‐reviewed journals including the Journal of Environmental Assessment Policy and management, Land Use Policy, International Journal for Environment and Resources, and she has also contributed a chapter in sustainable Agriculture and Livelihoods in India. Poornima’s experience includes the design and development of environmental education programmes India. Poornima holds a master's degree from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada in Environment and Sustainability and a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Mysore, India.
