Pratik Datta is Associate Director (Research) at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co, a leading Indian law firm. He has previously served as a Law Clerk to a sitting judge of the Supreme Court of India and as a Fellow at the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy. He has advised the Government of India as well as several expert committees on various momentous financial reforms including drafting of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, setting up the Monetary Policy Committee and merger of the Indian commodities and securities regulators. He holds a B.A. LL.B. (Hons) from the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences and an MSc in Law and Finance from the University of Oxford as a Chevening Weidenfeld Hoffmann scholar.
