Suhani Jalota is a PhD candidate at Stanford University and also holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB). Her areas of interest are development and labour economics, with a particular focus on gender in poor households. She use field experiments to study the interplay between women's economic power, dignity, and health and the role of technology in amplifying their agency.
Suhani is the Founder of Myna Mahila Foundation, a women's empowerment organization in India increasing women's agency by shifting social norms restricting women's employment and discussions around their sexual and reproductive health.
