Timothée Demont is an Assistant Professor at Aix-Marseille School of Economics (AMSE), Aix-Marseille Université, France. He does applied microeconomic and empirical research aimed at understanding important development challenges, to inform policymaking. He is particularly interested in microfinance, risk-coping behaviours in poor and vulnerable environments, migration, and gender issues. He is in charge of the Development and International Economics seminar at AMSE.
