Maximilian Lohnert is a Research Manager at J-PAL South Asia, where he works on rural development and labour market projects across Bihar and Jharkhand. Previously, he worked for a public-sector consultancy in the UK, supporting public- and third-sector providers in improving their service delivery. His broad research interests include public health, employment and social protection. He holds an M.Sc. in the Psychology of Mental Health from the University of Edinburgh, and a B.A. in Politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.
