Monisankar Bishnu is Associate Professor at the Economics and Planning Unit (EPU) of the Indian Statistical Institute, Delhi (ISI-Delhi). Prior to joining ISI-Delhi, Bishnu was a Senior Lecturer at the Research School of Economics (RSE) at the Australian National University (ANU). His research interests include public economics, macroeconomics, intergenerational transfer issues, growth and development, political economy, and resource economics.
He is an Associate with the Center for Advanced Macroeconomic Analysis (CAMA) at the Australian National University (ANU), an Affiliate of Australian Research Council (ARC) Centre of Excellence in Population Ageing Research (CEPAR) and a Senior Fellow at the Centre for Research on the Economics of Climate, Food, Energy and Environment (CECFEE). He is also an Associate Editor of the Journal of Asian Economics.
