He has a PhD in Economics from Kansas State University and an MA in Economics, Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, India. His research interests are Development Economics, Housing Policy, Transportation and Urban and Regional Economics.

Evaluating Economic and Administrative Linkages in Determining Firm’s Location Choice in Hajipur (Bihar)
The purpose of this project is to understand the rationales of firms’ location choice in which complex decision making mechanisms are manifested by various factors. This project attempts to understand increase in the number of RMS by examining the location choice of RMS based on a case study of Hajipur, particularly in the context of economic and administrative linkages to Patna. The main hypothesis is that good governance, in the form of effective economic and administrative linkages are a significant factor in determining firms’ location and expansion.

Understanding Slum Formation and Designing an Urban Housing Policy for Poor in Bihar
This project identifies the spatial pattern of the urban poor living in slums of four districts of Bihar. It also identified direct and indirect determinants of their settlement locations and understand the impact of various policies, including housing policy and market, on establishment of the informal settlement. The findings of the paper showed that people living in slums of Patna are a classic example of chronic poor.
