Ani Silwal is a consultant in the World Bank’s Development Economics Research Group. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Sussex, an M.Sc. from the University of Maryland, and a B.A. from Swarthmore College. He has also worked on international migration and remittances. His research interest is the constraints that households face in escaping poverty.
