Diane Quinn is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Connecticut. Broadly, her research focuses on the experiences and outcomes of people with socially stigmatised identities. She has examined the experience of stigma for a variety of different identities, including gender, race, obesity, and mental illness. She is particularly interested in the combination of situational factors and personal beliefs that affect outcomes, including performance outcomes, mental health outcomes, and physical health outcomes.
