Jamel Saadaoui
Jamel Saadaoui is a Full Professor of Economics at the University Paris 8, and is affiliated to the LED laboratory for his research activities. He teaches at the Institut d’Études Européennes, and is also an external consultant for the Asian Development Bank and a research fellow of the Economic Research Forum. In addition, he was an elected member of the National Council of Universities between 2016 and 2024.

As the US dollar and monetary policy continue to have a significant impact on global financial dynamics, some emerging markets are observed to be more resilient than others to the policy cycles. Analysing data on a large sample of emerging markets, this article highlights the role of consistent strategy that strengthens macroeconomic fundamentals and institutional quality across all phases of the cycle.
