K. V. Raju

Prof. K.V. Raju is director at Development Management Institute (DMI), Patna, Bihar. An alumnus (second batch: 1981-1983) of the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), he has about three decades of academic and field experience in development cooperation. His current interests include participatory governance and management of resources, collective enterprises for sustainable livelihoods, social entrepreneurship, values and ethics in management, and development cooperation.

Adaptation to persistent drought and groundwater depletion: Evidence from Karnataka
By using a random sample of households from the 2004 KSNDMC study, this project conducts a comparative study of households’ coping capacity to two prolonged, 3-year droughts occurring a decade apart, and examines whether the substantial ecological, economic, and social changes occurring over that decade have impacted this coping capacity.
