Mansi Kabra

Mansi Kabra is a Senior Marketing Manager at Good Business Lab (GBL). She leads brand development, strategy, and growth initiatives while overseeing research projects on the side. She has managed projects focused on unlocking female labour in rural areas, addressing anaemia among female garment workers, providing alternative work schedules to workers, and enabling effective screening and training of managers in the garment shopfloor. Prior to GBL, she worked in Rural Livelihoods and Development in Burkina Faso. Mansi comes with an in-depth, hands-on approach to social business and innovation. She holds a Master's in development studies from The Graduate Institute, Geneva.

Managerial quality and productivity dynamics
It is well known that managerial quality impacts firm productivity and growth. Which managerial skills, traits, and practices contribute most to productivity? Are all such traits easily observable? Are such traits appropriately rewarded in pay? Based on two years of daily, line-level production data from a large Indian garment firm and rich survey data on line managers, this article seeks to address these questions.
