Priya Mukherjee is a development economist and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her research is focused on the role of human capital, gender and political economy in economic development, and she utilises both field experiments and non-experimental methods. Her projects are based in India, Indonesia, Nepal, and Bangladesh. 

She received a PhD in Economics from Cornell University in 2015, an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics, and a BA in Mathematics (with honours) from the University of Delhi.
