Shweta Gupta

Shweta Gupta is a Ph.D. candidate at the Delhi School of Economics. She holds a Masters in Economics from the University of Hyderabad, and a Bachelors in Economics from Kirorimal College, Delhi University. As a part of her Masters thesis, she has worked on understanding the commodification of elementary education in Telangana. She has also worked as an intern at the Investment Division of the Ministry of Finance, Government of India; and with the Centre for Socio-Economic and Political Research (CSEPR) in the past, where she worked on Sustainable Development Goals.

वर्तमान में चल रही कोविड-19 महामारी के बहुआयामी प्रभाव दिख रहे हैं और इसने हमारे समक्ष दो दीर्घकालिक मुद्दे भी रख दिये हैं। वे हैं - जनसंख्या और प्रदूषण। इस आलेख में ऋषभ महेंद्र एवं श्वेता गुप्ता ने कोविड-19 मामलों पर जनसंख्या घनत्व के प्रभाव का आकलन किया है और यह बताया है कि वायु प्रदूषण से कोविड-19 का क्या संबंध है? साथ हीं उन्होने वर्तमान संकट के संदर्भ में और भविष्य के लिए नीतिगत सुझाव दिए हैं।
