Tanmay Sarkar

Tanmay Sarkar is a Senior Research Engineer, working with the materials group on the theoretical study of cathode materials in batteries using DFT simulations at CSTEP. He holds a Master's degree in Metallurgical and Material Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and a Bachelor's degree from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. His area of interest lies in renewable energy.

The Government of India is aiming to have only electric vehicles operating in the country by 2030. Despite the various policy initiatives that are being undertaken to make progress towards this ambitious target, the adoption of electric vehicles remains quite low.
