Vagisha Pandey
Vagisha Pandey is currently a research associate, working with Professors Nishith Prakash and Abhiroop Mukhopadhyay, among others. Previously, she worked at Good Business Lab on projects related to women’s migration and mental health. She has also collaborated with researchers at UC Berkeley and the Jharkhand State Food Commission on policy and development research.
Her research interests include the economics of environment, sustainability, education and gender. She holds an MA in Economics from Ashoka University and a BSc in Economics, Mathematics, and Statistics from Christ University

Pedalling towards gender equality and empowerment
In Bihar, India and in rural Zambia, the government introduced programmes to address gender gaps in education by providing adolescent girls with bicycles for their commute to school.
