Shirish Khare
Shirish Khare is a Communication Manager at the Shantilal Muttha Foundation, Pune, India. He is print journalist and writer, who focuses on education sector and rural India. In a 17-year career, shirish has won over seven national awards and fellowships. He is a winner of the Press Council of India award hosted by the Government of India and the then Vice President of India Mr. Hamid Ansari in 2013 for rural journalism. He received a United Nations Population Fund Agency (UNFPA) Laadli Media Award for best print reporting in 2013 and best web writing in 2010. He received Madhavrao Sapre Memorial Newspaper Museum and Research Institute Award for best investigative journalism in 2014. He also received Minimata Devi Journalism Award for Excellent journalism in rural Chhattisgarh in 2016. Shirish also received several fellowships including Center for Civil Society (CSDS), New Delhi in 2005, and Reach-Lilly MDR-TB (multi-drug resistant tuberculosis ) Partnership Media Fellowship Programme in 2015. He has published well over 1,000 exclusive reports on development issues in various leading newspapers and magazines.
